Actress Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory fame has been roped in to lend her voice to popular Batman villain Harley Quinn, who is to be the titular character in the upcoming animated series in the DC Universe. The announcement, which took place at Comic Con recently, was made by Cuoco on stage after a special first look video was unveiled. Harley is seen sitting in a prison cell with another popular villain Poison Ivy, taking shots at previous projects by DC and the Deadpool cartoon, according to Variety.com. Kaley has joined the already existing voice cast made up of Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Ron Funches, JB Smoove, Jason Alexander, Wanda Skyes, Tony Hale, Jim Rash, Diedrich Bader, Natalie Morales Giancarlo Esposito, and Chris Meloni. With The Big Bang Theory releasing its final season, which happens to be its twelfth season, the cast was seen emotional as it felt like an era had come to an end. Cuoco has previously given her voice to shows such as Bratz and Brandy & Mr. Whiskers.
Along with releasing Harley Quinn, the DC Universe is also set to come out with animated series Outsiders: Young Justice, and live action shows such as Titans, Doom Patrol, Stargirl and Swamp Thing.
