Who does not love to party all night after an exhausted week? After working for almost six days a week we all wait for the weekend to go to a fancy club and gulp down a few shots. Alcohol consumption helps to reduce stress as consuming alcohol boosts a sense of social confidence and promotes relaxation in the company of others. However, people often neglect the fact that after a night of binge drinking we end up with a bad hangover.
Here are a few simple tips to get rid of hangover-
• Re-hydrating- Excess consumption of alcohol decreases the body’s production of anti-diuretic hormone which is utilised by the body to retain water. With less anti- diuretic hormone lot of fluids flush out of our body which leads to dehydration. To avoid getting dehydrated drink plenty of water along with fruit juice and green tea.
• Eat well- A lot of people often skip food after they drink. It is best to eat foods like toast that are easy to digest after a hangover
• Eat ginger- According to a research done by the National Institute of Health a combination of ginger, tangerine pith and brown sugar when consumed before drinking it helps with nausea.
• Get enough sleep- A proper nap will help in relaxing the body from a bad hangover. Make sure you atleast get 8 hours of undisturbed sleep after your night out.
